Tuition remission covering one-quarter tuition for Falk Laboratory School is available to children of regular full-time faculty, librarians, and staff of the University of Pittsburgh who have been on the payroll for 12 consecutive months. The 12-month waiting period is only applicable to staff.
Please Note: It is the responsibility of the parents or guardians to determine their eligibility for tuition remission.
Families are encouraged to reach out to the Benefits Department to determine their eligibility prior to the time when admissions decisions are communicated, particularly if access to the dependent scholarship would be a factor in the family’s decision to attend Falk. Inquires to the Office of Human Resources to request eligibility determination can be made here: Contact the Office of Human Resources.
For eligibility guidelines for faculty, you may wish to visit the University of Pittsburgh's education benefit page for additional information.
If you have questions regarding your assignment category, you may reach out to HR Shared Services, or the Benefits Department Customer Support team, here.
Falk Lab School administration will verify eligibility with the Benefits Department prior to the first tuition billing. At that time, the Benefits Department will review the determining employment factors to verify if the employee is eligible for the dependent scholarship. Falk Laboratory School is notified of the approved eligibility by the Benefits Department, and if an employee is deemed as ineligible, an explanation is provided to the school.
