Should we apply for financial aid?

All families, whether currently enrolled or applying for admission, should apply online for Tuition Assistance.

Do we have to apply each year?

Yes, you are required to apply for financial aid every year. If your financial circumstances change, you may get more or less aid.

When should we apply for financial aid?

Financial aid applications can be submitted as early as October of the year prior to entry but must be submitted no later than February 1st of the year of entry.

Financial aid applications can be submitted as early as October of the year prior to re-enrollment but must be submitted no later than February 1st of the re-enrollment year. 

  • Returning families must have all of their School accounts up to date in order to receive tuition assistance for the following year.
  • Returning families must have a signed contract and deposit received/confirmed by the main office.

How is Financial Aid determined and awarded?

Falk School is committed to providing financial aid dollars using a fair, consistent, and equitable assessment of families financial needs. Applicants must demonstrate that their family resources are insufficient to meet all or part of the total educational costs. This support is continued as long as families demonstrate financial need.

When will I know my award?

Once your completed application, including supporting documentation, has been submitted by the March 31st deadline, you should:

The estimated award allows you to make an informed decision about enrollment. You will receive a final award amount after all supporting documentation has been submitted to, and verified by, FACTS.

The Falk School Tuition Assistance Committee will review the FACTS report and supporting documentation to make an informed decision about your tuition assistance award.  The committee will formally communicate their decision via postal mail. 

What is the financial aid application fee?

The application fee is $30.00.

What if we're unable to file our taxes by the deadline?

It is understandable that there is a possibility that your tax forms are not available until later in January. Please refer to your previous years' tax return(s) to estimate your tax information. Update the completed financial aid application as soon as you can but no later than the March deadline. Your financial aid award will be subject to suspension until your actual tax return(s) is received by the March due date.
